The Code of Conduct is intended to promote discipline, academic excellence, mutual respect, and a safe learning environment. Every student is expected to observe the following rules and regulations:

1. General Conduct

  • Maintain dignity, discipline, and decorum within and outside the college campus.

  • Treat teachers, staff, fellow students, and visitors with courtesy and respect.

  • Uphold the reputation and values of the institution at all times.

  • Follow all rules, notifications, and instructions issued by the college authorities.

  • Carry the College Identity Card and produce it whenever required.

  • Use polite and appropriate language in all interactions.

2. Academic Responsibilities

  • Attend classes regularly and comply with the attendance requirements prescribed by the University and the College.

  • Be punctual for lectures, practicals, seminars, tests, and examinations.

  • Complete assignments, projects, and academic tasks within stipulated deadlines.

  • Maintain academic honesty and refrain from plagiarism, cheating, or unfair means in examinations and assessments.

  • Actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities organized by the college.

3. Discipline and Behaviour

  • Maintain discipline in classrooms, laboratories, library, corridors, playgrounds, and all campus premises.

  • Refrain from any act of misconduct, indiscipline, intimidation, or disruptive behaviour.

  • Respect diversity and maintain harmony irrespective of gender, religion, caste, language, culture, or socioeconomic background.

  • Avoid arguments, conflicts, or actions that may disturb the academic environment.

  • Any form of bullying, ragging, harassment, discrimination, or violence is strictly prohibited.

4. Campus Cleanliness and Environment

  • Keep the campus neat, clean, and litter-free.

  • Use dustbins and follow waste segregation practices wherever applicable.

  • Protect college property, furniture, equipment, plants, and infrastructure.

  • Promote environmental sustainability through responsible use of resources.

  • Avoid defacement of walls, desks, notice boards, or college property.

5. Use of Digital Resources and Technology

  • Use computers, internet facilities, and digital resources only for educational and authorized purposes.

  • Respect cyber ethics and refrain from accessing, sharing, or creating inappropriate content.

  • Do not engage in cyberbullying, hacking, impersonation, or misuse of digital platforms.

  • Mobile phones must remain on silent mode during classes, seminars, and official programmes unless permitted by the teacher.

  • Recording, photographing, or sharing classroom activities without prior permission is prohibited.

6. Library and Laboratory Conduct

  • Maintain silence and discipline in the library.

  • Return books and library materials within the prescribed time.

  • Handle laboratory equipment, instruments, and resources carefully.

  • Follow all safety instructions issued by laboratory staff.

  • Report any damage, malfunction, or accident immediately to the concerned authority.

7. Dress and Personal Appearance

  • Wear neat, decent, and appropriate attire befitting an academic institution.

  • Maintain personal hygiene and a professional appearance.

  • Avoid clothing or accessories displaying offensive, objectionable, or inappropriate content.

8. Safety and Security

  • Cooperate with security personnel and comply with campus safety regulations.

  • Report suspicious activities, emergencies, or safety concerns promptly.

  • Do not carry weapons, hazardous materials, or prohibited substances on campus.

  • Observe safety measures during educational tours, field visits, camps, and college events.

9. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Ragging in any form as per UGC and Government regulations.

  • Consumption, possession, or distribution of alcohol, tobacco, narcotics, or other intoxicating substances.

  • Gambling, betting, or any unlawful activity.

  • Physical violence, threats, abuse, or intimidation.

  • Damage to college property or theft of any kind.

  • Forgery, falsification of records, or misuse of institutional documents.

  • Unauthorized use of the college name, logo, or social media platforms.

10. Participation in College Activities

  • Represent the college with integrity and professionalism in academic, cultural, sports, NCC, NSS, Youth Red Cross, and other activities.

  • Adhere to the rules governing competitions, events, and official programmes.

  • Seek prior approval from the competent authority before organizing any activity within the campus.

11. Grievance Redressal and Student Support

  • Students may approach designated committees or authorities for academic, personal, or administrative grievances.

  • Respect the decisions of duly constituted committees and authorities.

  • Utilize institutional support systems responsibly and constructively.

12. Compliance and Accountability

  • Ignorance of rules shall not be accepted as an excuse for misconduct.

  • Violations of the Code of Conduct may invite disciplinary action as per college, university, and government regulations.

  • Every student is expected to contribute positively towards creating a safe, inclusive, disciplined, and intellectually vibrant campus environment.
